Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of 3AT - Endless Paradox (“3AT,” the “bot”), official landing pages (such as discords.sbs), and related materials published with the 3Tea/discord-bot project. By inviting the bot, using slash commands or buttons, or using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

3AT is a Discord application that provides slash commands, button interactions, and background features such as XP and leveling, economy (coins/gems, shop, transactions), voice utilities, server statistics, media- or utility-oriented commands, and other behavior described in project documentation. Availability, performance, and feature mix may change at any time. We may perform maintenance, impose limits, or retire functionality without prior notice.

The source code is licensed under the repository’s LICENSE (Mozilla Public License 2.0). These Terms govern use of the operated bot instance and official sites, not your right to fork or modify the code under the open-source license.

If you self-host the bot, these Terms do not bind your own users—you must provide your own terms and privacy policy for that deployment.

2. Eligibility and Discord rules

You must comply with the Discord Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and applicable laws. You must have legal capacity to agree in your jurisdiction. If you add or configure the bot for a server, you represent that you are authorized to do so.

3. Server administrators

Owners and moderators are responsible for: (a) choosing bot permissions and channel access; (b) setting XP, economy, shop, and language options; (c) moderating member conduct; and (d) ensuring server use complies with law and Discord policy. We are not liable for misuse, misconfiguration, or harmful content posted by your members, including content surfaced through bot commands.

4. User content and generated output

You retain rights to content you submit via Discord (for example command inputs). You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate 3AT. The bot may produce generated images or embeds (such as rank cards) derived from Discord-visible data; such outputs are provided as part of the service and may be cached temporarily for performance.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, dox, spam, defraud, or harm others through the bot.
  • Use the bot to violate intellectual property, privacy, or export-control laws.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or exploit the service or Discord’s APIs.
  • Circumvent rate limits, security controls, or abuse-detection mechanisms.
  • Misrepresent affiliation with the project, impersonate operators, or spoof bot responses.
  • Use automated means to trigger commands in bulk in a way that degrades the service for others.

We may warn, throttle, block, or remove access (per user, guild, or globally) if we reasonably believe you breached these Terms or endangered stability, security, or other users.

6. Third-party services and content

3AT relies on Discord and may call external APIs or websites for certain commands (for example media, translation, or link resolution). We do not control third parties; their terms, availability, and accuracy are their responsibility. You use such integrations at your own risk.

7. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data are described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SERVICE OR SERVERS ARE FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Features that display rankings, economy balances, or automated outcomes are provided for entertainment or community management convenience; they are not professional, legal, or financial advice.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE PROJECT OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR HOSTING PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE 3AT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (TYPICALLY ZERO FOR A FREE BOT) OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US$50), EXCEPT WHERE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW SUCH A CAP.

10. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the project operators and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of 3AT, your content, your server’s configuration, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Changes

We may modify these Terms or the service. We will update the “Last updated” date when this page changes. For material changes, we may also post a notice via GitHub or other project channels where practical. If you continue using the bot after changes become effective, you accept the revised Terms. If you disagree, remove the bot and stop using the site.

12. Termination

You may stop using 3AT at any time by removing it from your guild. We may suspend or terminate access for operational, legal, security, or abuse-related reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations, indemnity, and governing law) survive termination.

13. Governing law and disputes

Unless mandatory local law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the primary operating jurisdiction of the maintainers, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in that jurisdiction may have venue; if you are a consumer, you may have non-waivable rights in your country of residence, including the right to sue in your local courts where required by law.
